Anand founded WiTii after experiencing a few failed business ventures in the early years of his career. It was these failures that allowed him to learn and by analyzing his missteps, he was able to see a clear path to his future, and the future of the global pharmaceutical industry. With a new perspective on business and clear knowledge of what not to do, he was determined to pursue a new business idea. While reading Sean Harrison’s book Out of the Ghetto – A Journey from Addiction to a New Way of Being, Anand came across a scene where a drug addict injected a gram of pure cocaine and barely survived the experience. This transformative moment in the addict’s journey to recovery and the irrational behavior from which it stemmed inspired Anand to create a name for his new venture: WiTii, an acronym for “What If This Is Insanity.” 

In reading about the addict’s rehabilitation and the way he transformed his life, Anand was driven to embody a similar kind of dedication with the foundation of WiTii. Both were willing to take significant risks and make impossible decisions, even when the outcomes were uncertain. He recognized that this level of insanity is often necessary for success in business, and he embraced the idea of taking these kinds of risks to achieve his goals. With a new name in hand, Anand launched WiTii with a newfound level of courage and determination. Though they walked extremely different paths in life, both were determined to succeed, no matter the hardships that stood in their way. Today, WiTii is a thriving pharmaceutical consulting firm that continues to take bold risks and embrace the uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship.
